Call for Papers
ICFS² 2026 invites original research contributions from academics, researchers, engineers, and practitioners working in fire safety engineering and related disciplines.
Conference Scope
ICFS² 2026 welcomes original research papers, case studies, and review articles covering all aspects of fire safety engineering, structural fire engineering, fire investigation, and fire safety management. Both theoretical and applied research contributions are encouraged.

Fire Safety of Structures
Research on structural Behaviour under fire conditions, fire resistance design, and performance-based approaches for buildings and infrastructures
Awareness & Mitigation of Fire Damages
Strategies, policies, and community-level approaches to reduce fire risk, improve preparedness, and minimize the impact of fire accidents
Fire Dynamics
Fundamental and applied research on fire behaviour, combustion, smoke movement, heat transfer, and computational fire modelling
Emerging Trends in Structural Engineering
Innovative materials, construction methods, and digital technologies shaping the future of structural engineering with fire safety integration
Submission Types
Abstract
300–500 words. Submitted for initial peer review. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper.
Deadline: 30 May 2026
Full Paper
8–10 pages following the conference template. Submitted by authors whose abstracts have been accepted.
Deadline: 15 Jul 2026
Review Process
All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review by members of the Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified of acceptance decisions within the stated deadlines. Reviewers will assess submissions on originality, scientific rigour, relevance to the conference scope, and quality of presentation.
Publication
Accepted papers will be published in the ICFS² 2026 conference proceedings. Selected high-quality papers may be recommended for publication in partner journals. Further details will be announced in due course.
Formatting Guidelines
- A4 paper size, double-column format
- Times New Roman 11pt for body text
- Figures and tables must be numbered and captioned
- References in the Harvard referencing style
- Maximum 10 pages including references and figures
